A new level of awareness has dawned. A remembering...that which we struggle against does indeed strengthen as our struggle intensifies. One can be consumed in the combat, ones life can become the carnage they wish to inflict, we can become the enemy we lob our bombs at....or worse, we can totally forget that the enemy we vow to defeat, to squash...to annihilate is us. "I have met the enemy and he is us"
Mammon, I walk away; not defeated but liberated. I walk away in the full understanding that you won't even notice my absence. War and poverty, I walk away; I'm sure you never knew I was waging a vehement battle against you. Government and religious fascism, I walk away; you're too entrenched in the bone marrow of humanity. You'll never be uprooted...you can only be transformed...the mass human immune system needs to be strengthened by transformation to rid us of your viral effects.
I will continue to share my thoughts, ideas and observances. What will change is the perspective those will emanate from. I will cease trying to spur others to action. I will retrain my voice from outrage to informative...from indignation to insight. More times than not, our power in any situation is not outward, it is inward. We don't change things so much by what we react to...but by how we change our perception...our perspective. When we stop raging and reacting about our lack of power, but ACT from our power.
When the British imposed a debilitating salt tax on India back in the 1940s. Gandhi simply walked to the sea to make his own salt. When Britain imposed a stifling textile tax in order to break India economically. Gandhi simply spun his own cloth. All Indians didn't join Gandhi in his independent efforts at self-sufficiency, but enough did and Britain broke. I've dawned on the realization that we don't need everyone, or even a majority to see our vision manifest. All that is required is a critical mass of humanity. That critical mass could be as low as 10% of people waking up. About 35 million in America...or 700 or so million in the world. As few as 10% who walk away from the battlefield, reclaim their energy and hold their vision. This is not the age of defeat. But conversely this isn't the age of overcoming...of vanquishing the wicked either. It is the age of transformation.
When the air inside the egg becomes toxic from the breathing of the baby chick inside, the chick doesn't rant against the shell or the bad air. It uses what it has (its beak) and breaks out.
The proverbial air in the world has gone bad, it's become toxic. Unlike the chick that breaks out...I'll use what I have and go inward, experience the toxicity of the world from my perspective of inner peace. No more tilting at windmills, no more trying to slay the shape shifting dragons. I remember that the windmills are powered by my energy...the dragons are born in me. The world is a projection of our inner psyche. The problem as I see it is that we have come to believe that others have power over us. That we are subservient to an economic and political system that ironically we have given over our power to. We have forgot that the power is ours, we can take it back. Going to war with 'the system', rattling our sabers at windmills that don't know or care whether we exist or not doesn't seem sane to me anymore.
I take my energy back...I become the change I want to see. I do that in confidence that there are others, my vision is not mine alone. It was given me by my ancestors. They are me and I am them.
Standing down in Peace,
