When did Americans forget what a democratic republic is?
What too many people forgot or misunderstand that elected officials represent the will of the people in a democratic republic.
Too many people think that we should serve our elected officials; I think that's backwards as hell. Anytime some elected official tells the public what's 'unfeasible' or unrealistic, or not doable; then that elected person should be immediately up for recall. We the people set the priorities for government, government doesn't set priorities for the people. That's clearly stated in the constitution.
I hear that nonsense from a lot of Obama's undying fans; about how we should be serving him and how we need to get behind him no matter what he's does or doesn't do...how we have to follow his dictates. NO! Obama should be following the will of the people who elected him, fighting for our causes; that's why we went out and voted for him, because of the policies and ideals he stated that he would stand for. Why all of the sudden after he gets elected then those policies are 'unfeasible'? I'm tired of hearing Obama's administration blaming 'the people's lack of action' for his failures and sellouts. Obama; the people spoke when we elected you with just about a 60% majority and gave you a Democrat senate and congress. It's not our responsibility when you went out and pissed that all away. A lot of common people went out and worked their asses off to get Obama elected; and now he blames the people for his not getting anything done for us. Obama that's why I won't vote for you again.
